Pizza Ranch Fundraiser

The Pizza Ranch fundraiser was so much fun. It was great to be back in Watertown and connect with many followers from Clark's hometown. They were eager to show their support and some of his high school classmates even made the 90 mile trip from Sioux Falls to be there. Ross and his staff, along with our family, representatives from the Watertown Wrestling Booster Club, and Reliabank, all kept the show running smoothly, even with the large number of customers. Ross said he even ordered in extra silverware and prepared extra pizzas for the buffet in preparation for this night. The Corporate Office told Ross that this was the most successful fundraiser in Pizza Ranch history. Go Watertown! Thank you Ross!

Morning Clark. Wow! There sure are lots of people who love you and want to help. Pretty cool!

Hope it is a sunshiny day in Utah. Hellen Keller said: "Keep your face to the sunshine and ye can not see the shadows."

Hellen Keller's optimism is amazing since she couldn't see or hear from the time she was about 19 months old. Not only was she positive, but she became an author and world-famous speaker. That's pretty inspiring.

Bet you are looking forward to going outside again. Just a couple more days and likely, you can.

Hoping we'll be able to see you for a few minutes this weekend. I'm sure once you get out of isolation, there will be lots of others who will visit, too. Your calendar will probably be so full, we won't be able to get in. So...I'm making a reservation now!

Well, I better get to work. I have a big meeting today and am not as prepared as I'd like to be. Should have worked over the weekend, but decided to plant raspberries instead. I can work inside all winter!

Hope the day is good!

What great pictures! We were bummed we had to miss out on these great events due to other committments. It's wonderful to see all of the many faces supporting Clark. Hoping the days to come will be progress towards discharge. Thinking of you and praying for your recovery.

Hi Clark. The countdown continues, just 3 more days of isolation...your 85% of the way there!

Keep on growing Clark! You can do it. Here's a story I hope you find motivating.

Have a wonderful day!

Mount Everest

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mount Everest. On May 29, 1953 he scaled the highest mountain then known to man-29,000 feet straight up. He was knighted for his efforts.

He even made American Express card commercials because of it! However, until we read his book, High Adventure, we don't understand that Hillary had to grow into this success.

You see, in 1952 he attempted to climb Mount Everest, but failed. A few weeks later a group in England asked him to address its members.

Hillary walked on stage to a thunderous applause. The audience was recognizing an attempt at greatness, but Edmund Hillary saw himself as a failure. He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the platform.

He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in a loud voice, "Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but I'll beat you the next time because you've grown all you are going to grow... but I'm still growing!"
